Albatroi.net has been my domain since early 2001, when I grew tired of having a variety of websites scattered about the web. Most of those sites no longer exist, but albatroi.net lives on, a repository for whatever I happen to feel like putting up at the time.

For the most part, albatroi.net has contained my own personal writing. This changed after seventh form journalism when I began writing book reviews. Most of the books I'm passionate about are genre fiction: children's books, science fiction, fantasy and comics, and so this is most of what gets reviewed. It helps that I work in a children's bookshop, and I'm quite content to spend most of my time surrounded by books.

I also love music, although I'm not a musician. My preferences are for angry old man music, new wave and other forms of synthesiser joy, various kinds of rock, and trip hop. Angsty teenage boy music is, however, my musical nemesis.

Despite what some people think, I am not a goth.

Mostly I love to write, and I love stories, and thinking about stories, and this is reflected in my website.
