This was once the fanlisting for Bryan Lee O'malley's comic Lost At Sea, still probably my favourite comic even if it turns out I can't be bothered running a fanlisting. The layout image is taken from the original cover for the comic, which is the version I have. It is, of course, copyright to Bryan and I'm using it here without permission.

I think I love Lost At Sea so because it is possibly the only thing I have read where the first person narration actually sounds like I think. Which is possibly a silly reason, and of course the structuring of the comic means it's not so accurate in terms of time, but here was a character who composed her thoughts in telling stories. And that really resonated with me.

Lost at Sea is also very reassuring to read. I read it three times in quick succession when it was first lent to me, and I reread it often still. So this is just a little page of love for the comic that came before Scott Pilgrim took over the world, but is none the less for it.
